LIL JON

In 1997, the group's first album, Get Crunk, Who U Wit: Da Album, was released.
In 2000, Lil Jon created his own label, BME Recordings, and signed a distribution deal with Southern Music Distribution. He then released the group's second album, We Still Crunk!!.
Having heard that Lil Jon was the "guy of the moment", Bryan Leach, A&R at TVT Records, went to Atlanta to listen to him. Captivated by the rapper's energy, Leach signed Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz with TVT in 2001, and the group subsequently released Put Yo Hood Up, which includes both previously released tracks and new ones.
In 2002, Kings of Crunk was released, featuring the track Get Low, which is considered the anthem of crunk.
